Sensei Orrowe 3rd Dan
Sensei Shaney Orrowe first started training at an English Shotokan Karate Association (ESKA) Club in Stansted Mountfichet in 1998. Sensei joined up with her sister, both were inspired by watching too many cartoons!
Although Shaney's sister later left, Shaney stayed and graded 1st Dan in March 2003.
Later in 2003 Sensei Shaney moved to Bristol to study at Bristol University, where she started training with Bristol Shotokan Karate Club in December 2003.
Sensei Shaney remained licence back home, and was briefly affiliated to the Shotokan Karate Ryu (SKR) as her old club changed affiliations.
As Sensei Shaney was spending all her time in Bristol and training with Bristol Shotokan, she joined the KUGB in January 2005, when with other members of Bristol Shotokan Karate Club Sensei Shaney entered an event.
Sensei Shaney gained her third Dan in September 2012.
Sensei Shaney trains with Bristol Shotokan full time and is one of our club instructors with Sensei Ed Starks and Sensei Will Skinner with the Beginners Karate Class on Thursday's at 8.15pm.
